- 1 C ketchup
- 1/3 C apple cider vinegar with the mother
- ¼ C brown sugar
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1.5 tsp chili powder
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1.5 Tbsp dark molasses
- 2 tsp ground pepper
- Whisk all ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Reduce the heat to low, and cover.
- Simmer 10 minutes until thickened.
- If you are not using immediately, once it cools down cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
