• 1.5 - 2 lbs chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup pesto (I used Costco’s Kirkland brand Basil Pesto)
  • 1 lb rotini pasta
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 6 oz shredded Parmesan cheese ( or Italian blend )


  1. Turn the Instant Pot to saute and melt the butter.
  2. Dice the chicken into roughly 1 inch cubes.
  3. Add the chicken and cook while sprinkling on the Italian seasoning.
  4. Add the pasta and the broth.
  5. Put on the lid and set the pressure to high and the timer to 4 minutes.
  6. When the time is up do a quick release.
  7. Mix in the pesto sauce.
  8. Serve with the Parmesan cheese on top.


  • COVER the release valve with something, because liquid will likely shoot out of the top when released!
